4-H Adventure Camp is made possible by the many volunteers who graciously give their time and expertise that has allowed camp to abide for so long. The Camp Counselor Program is made up of volunteer high school students that go through prominent training every year in order to prepare them to assist and care for campers during their stay at camp.
First year counselors, often referred to as CITs are (Counselors in Training). The First year of training includes additional requirements, references, an interview, and peer-mentoring from experienced counselors and staff.
Counselors are grades 10-12th, enrolled in School, and have any where from 1-3 years staff experience and some even 1-6 years camper experience.
Our Director (Dana Gillespie), works hard to create a dedicated team of responsible, hard working counselors that she can trust to carry on the duties and deeds expected of counselors.
