4-H Adventure Camp is made possible by the many volunteers who graciously give their time and expertise that has allowed camp to abide for so long. The Camp Counselor Program is made up of volunteer high school students that go through prominent training every year in order to prepare them to assist and care for campers during their stay at camp.
First year counselors, are often referred to as CITs (Counselors in Training). The first year of training includes additional requirements, references, an interview, and peer-mentoring from experienced counselors and staff.
Counselors are grades 10-12th, and have anywhere from 1-3 years staff experience and even some 1-6 years camper experience. They help mentor CITs and really are what makes camp special.
We are on the search for a new Camp Director! Stay tuned to see who will be director for the upcoming 2021 year!
